Showing Up
In an attempt to show up more, I have been documenting the days that I work in the studio, as well as the time I spend working on art or in the journal outside of the studio. By marking this down on my calendar, which is in the back of my journal, I can see just how much I am showing up, and it becomes a great motivator to show up even more.
How do you find ways to show up? How do you stay motivated?

I like to take up various challenges from books, blogs, and websites. Am actually just starting on the "Journal Fodder 365" challenge.
That's awesome. For awhile, I logged every hour that I worked and entered the total amount on a calendar. I needed to see where and how I was spending my time--and sometimes I was surprised (for the good and for the bad!). Overall it was a very insightful exercise and motivating to help keep my focus.
Gold stars of any color or shape are adorning my chart on the refrigerator. I got inspired by Laurie who blogged about her January results at http://www.crazyauntpurl.com/archives/2013/01/january_is_over.php
I didn't think about putting my in-progress chart in my journal, but the completed ones will wind up there.
I like this idea. I just retired and have a lot of projects I want to accomplish. As soon as I finish moving across country and I going to use this idea to keep track of whether I am actually moving forward or not.
Make an appointment with yourself and keep it. That's what I'm talking about! I'm following your lead brother. Great Idea to keep yourelf in Check. In fact I think i'm going to start a brand new Journal just to lay down the basis for this.
